Marley & Me: Love and Life with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan
Hi, thanks for following my blog!
ReplyDeleteExcellent discussion on hooks. I think it's good preparation to do this. If nothing else, the writer is forced to reduce thousands of words into a single purpose. The only way to learn this is to study the hooks used by published authors. I believe it was "Pub Rants" that featured a discussion on this topic. The agent posted examples used by some of her clients. (with permission of course)
ReplyDeleteI found it very helpful,
Raven
Thank you Catherine, for your marvelous articles, and as a wanna-be writer and blogger, I’m thankful for such talented people as you willing to discuss and share with others the creative process of writing fiction.
ReplyDeleteHi Raven,
ReplyDeleteYes it is an excellent topic and I look forward to a discussion on this subject in the group, if we have an opportunity.
